DURATION & DATES 2 Days DELIVERY LANGUAGE English TIME 9am–5pm SESSION OVERVIEW: * This course uses principles of ethnography and practical exercises to develop a sense of the participant’s own culture and how it impacts upon others. * It uses everyday language and familiar situations to help participants understand how people interact in the workplace and how they can use that interaction to work across cultural differences. * We look at issues such as personal space and sense of time, how language can be a barrier or can be used for effective communication and how cultural preconceptions can affect the way you treat someone. * This course is very interactive. SESSION CONTENT * learning to identify and understand cultural differences * developing a greater sensitivity and awareness of different cultures and their norms *understanding and enjoying your own cultural background and the * backgrounds of other people LEARNING OBJECTIVES & OUTCOMES: The participants should develop a good awareness of cultural issues and their impact upon working life, as well as a basis for clear cross-cultural communication in the workplace.
